We are very sorry to announce the death of our Vice President and Archivist, Julia Daniels, on 18th August 2023.
Julia joined the Society in 1957, was treasurer of the Astronomy Section from 1972 until her resignation earlier this year, and Vice President since 2013. She was a stalwart supporter of the Society, attending lectures, serving on Council and demonstrating at the observatory when she was able. We send our condolences to her husband, Doug Daniels, our previous President, and we shall miss her. A full obituary will appear in due course.
