HSS Observatory Location
The observatory can be found at Lower Terrace, near Whitestone Pond in Hampstead (NW3).

Transport
Tube- Take the Edgware branch of the Northern line to Hapmstead station (zone 2). From here you'll have a short walk up the hill along Heath Street to the observatory.
Bus- Two buses, the 210 and the 268, have stops near to the observatory. The 210 arrives/departs from Spaniards Road and the 268 will drop you at Whitestone Pond.
Car- For the vehicularly-enabled there is parking available on Hampstead Grove and Lower Terrace.
Consult Transport for London to check availability in your local area.
Weather
An important consideration is the visibility of the sky. If the weather obscures the sky the observatory will be closed. Please look up before going to Whitestone Pond. If you must consult the internet try B.B.C. London or the animation at the UK Met Office. These are external sites and will open in new windows.
Opening hours
Opening season: Mid-Oct - Mid-May.
Opening times: 8-10pm Friday and Saturday nights. 11am-1pm Sunday.
Exceptions: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
